About me
I'm Max. I've been writing software professionally since 2012, back when a freelancer was expected to build everything — websites, APIs, databases, the odd WordPress site I'd rather forget. I did that for clients and agencies for years, until it clicked that I was helping everyone else buy their freedom while renting out my own time by the hour. So I stopped, and started building my own small products instead.
Since then I've launched a lot of micro-SaaS. A few paid the bills for years. Most didn't. Several never found a single paying customer, and honestly those taught me more than the wins ever did. I'm not a guru and I won't pretend to be one. I've just shipped enough to have opinions worth reading, and enough scars to keep them honest.
My one-line philosophy, which colors everything I write:
A boring SaaS making $2,000/month beats a revolutionary startup making $0/month.
I'm a bootstrapper at heart. Small teams, profitable businesses, sustainable growth, independence, ownership — that's the game I care about. Revenue is validation. Traffic isn't. Likes aren't. Funding isn't.
I use AI every day — Cursor, Claude, coding assistants. It's one of the best productivity tools I've ever touched. But it doesn't magically create businesses. AI can help you build faster. It can't tell you what people will pay for. Those are completely different skills, and the second one is the whole game.
If you're a developer or solo founder trying to make your first real money online, you're exactly who I'm writing for. No hype, no growth-hacking theater. Just the unglamorous work that turns code into something people pay for.
